TJAC asks T ministers not to take part in Nov 1 fete - Sakshi Post

Chairman of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) Kodandaram today asked the ministers in the Kirankumar Reddy Cabinet from the Telangana region not to take part in the State Formation Day celebrations on November 1.

The ministers should protest in this manner against the abnormal delay in taking a decision on the formation of Telangana state, he told mediapersons in Hyderabad.
Prof Kodandaram also asked the educational institutions in the region to see to it that not a single student takes part in the State Formation Day fete. Till a clear announcement comes on the separate Telangana state demand, “we should continue this protest,” he added.
With regard to the leaders in Telangana proposing to undertake programs like Padayatra, the TJAC chairman wanted the leaders to take up such exercises only after the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government at the Centre makes its stand clear on the demand. Even if Chief Minister N Kirankumar Reddy, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu or YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s sister Sharmila undertakes Padayatra in Telangana, the people of region have every right to stage protests, he maintained.
He stated that the ministers from Telangana region should take the sole responsibility of ensuring the lifting of the cases filed against some the youths in the region for taking part in the agitational programs.
