Tirupati laddu quality questioned

The popular laddu prasadam of Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swami is once again in the news for wrong reasons. The laddus meant for distribution to the devotees were found to have been stale and of low quality.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam authorities noted the defects at the last moment and sent some 100 trays back.
On Monday too, low quality laddus were found at the counters and the officials have stopped their distribution. However, the TTD assured that the quality of the laddu prasadam was good and there was no question of their becoming state. The laddus are prepared in a specially designated area called Srivari Potu and all precautions are taken to ensure quality.
