Tirumala: Over 3,000 marriages on Feb 13,14,15

There will be a heavy rush of people at the temple shrine Tirumala on 13, 14, and 15 February. The crowd is nothing new in the hill shrine. However, this time around the numbers will beat records, it is said.

The three consecutive days of the month is considered auspicious with the 'shubh muhurat' on all three days. Thus some 3,000 marriages are expected to happen on these days at the popular temple town. Brides and grooms from across the country will tie the knot at the temple of Lord Venkateswara.
The TTD has made elaborate arrangements to deal with the heavy rush of people. Boarding and lodging facilities for thousands of devotees are being worked out to avoid chaos and inconvenience for the devotees.
