Tight security for Garuda Seva in Tirumala

Security has been tightened for Garuda Seva, one of the key events at Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala. Thousands of devotees have reached the temple premises to offer prayers to the Lord of the seven hills.

The special prayers and celebrations will begin tonight. To regulate the heavy traffic, the entry of two-wheelers to the hills has been restricted.
The entry for two-wheelers till the temple has been restricted between 8 pm tonight (Saturday) till 6 am tomorrow (Sunday). Special parking arrangements also have been made to meet the increasing numbers of devotees' vehicles.
