Three school kids found dead in Kompally

Hyderabad,  The bodies of three school students, who had gone missing, were found in a pond at Kompally here on Friday, police said.

The bodies of Nikhil, Shravan and Inderjit, all aged around 14 years and students of a private school, were found floating in a pond by locals this morning, who alerted the Petbasheerabad police.

Their bodies were later brought out of water and with the help of their bags, the deceased were identified, police said.

The three boys had left their homes for school Thursday morning, but did not return home by evening, after which anxious parents enquired about them with the school.

However, the school authorities had informed that the three students did not attend the school.

Later some locals found their bodies floating in the pond near the Jayabheri Park. The boys seemed to have crossed the fencing of the park and entered the water and drowned.

The pond was formed over a period of time as a result of quarrying activity in the area, police said. Further investigation was on.
