Three killed in car-truck collision in Vijayawada

Vijayawada,  Three persons, including a couple, were Monday killed and two others injured in a road accident when their speeding car rammed into a truck near the airport here, police said.

The mishap took place around 3 AM on the outskirts of Gannavaram on the Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam national highway, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and collided with the truck, killing three on spot, they said. The deceased were identified as Pamarti Krishna (50) his wife Nagamani (45) and driver Ch Suresh (35). The two injured were admitted to a private hospital in the city. The victims were on their way to Hyderabad from native place to get Krishna treated.
