‘Threatening call’ to suspended TDP MLA

‘Threatening call’ to suspended TDP MLA - Sakshi Post

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) rebel MLA Chinnam Ramakotaiah today filed a complaint with the Nuzvid police in Krishna district saying that he had received a threatening call on his mobile earlier in the day.

“An unidentified person called on my mobile this morning and threatened to kill me if I talk anything against the TDP,” the MLA said in his complaint. Ramakotaiah has recently written to the Election Commission of India to derecognize the TDP as the party had resorted to unconstitutional methods.

Ramakotaiah was suspended from the party for “anti-party” activities. He said he was suspended from the TDP as he exercised his franchise in the recent presidential polls in his capacity as an MLA. Suspending an MLA from the party is unconstitutional, Ramakotaiah said in his complaint to the Election Commission and sought derecognition of the TDP for resorting to such step.
