Bolarum: Unidentified military personnel thrashed a police patrol party on Friday night near the Officers' Mess, and went to the police station on Saturday morning to apologise to the injured.

The patrol party saw some persons stop their car near the Officers' Mess and consume alcohol on the road. On being questioned for drinking on the road in a military area, they thrashed up the constables. An armyman of the rank of a subedar was said to be among the attackers.
Strangely, the armymen turned up at the police station on Saturday morning and apologised to the injured patrol team members. On being questioned about the incident, the army and the police refused to comment on the issue.
