This Lucky Charm Is Helping Rohit Sharma Score All Those Record-Smashing Tons

India's stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma is on a roll. After a record-shattering double ton against Lankas, he backed it up with another ton, the fastest T 20 Century of 35-ball-hundred on Friday.

If the double ton on December 13 was a wedding gift to his wife Ritika Sajdeh, the fast and furious century of Friday (December 22) was his birthday surprise for her. His ton was pyrotechnics in the purest form with ten 6s and 12 fours. Here were hardly any singles in his innings. Rohit credited his run riot to his ''lucky charm."

In a post dedicated to Ritika on December 21, a day before he scored the aggressive ton, he wrote "Generally if it's someone's birthday, you'll go try and be with them but that's not the case with my Mrs. Poor thing always travels to me on occasions and makes sure the travel time is well spent, very lucky to have a wife like her. Happy birthday love @ritssajdeh"

After his smashing double century on December 13, Rohit had said: "I'm happy my wife is here with me on this special day. I know she would have liked this gift from me. She has been my strength. She has always been there for me. You go through so much stress in this sport, and having them around is always special."
