A market share of Rs 700 crore in Bollywood! Yes, thats the market share of actor Akshay Kumar's movies for the year 2018. That makes him easily the highest contributor for Bollywood market during the year. Here is a list of Akshay's new films in 2018: Padman (Rs 80 crores), Gold (Rs 70 crores), Kesari (Rs 55 Crores) and Housefull 4 (Rs 100 crores). Add this to the other films scheduled for 2018 which is around Rs 400 crore. That brings up the number Rs 700 crore.

Meanwhile, superstar Rajinikanth said that the exact release date of his film with Akshay will be announced in a couple of days. However, the much-talked about Akshay film in 2018 will be Padman. Akshay Kumar's Pad Man is one of the most awaited films of the year. The movie is slated for release on February 9. Based on a real life story, director R Balki has brought the movie into shape. The movie has been highly promoted innovatively with Akshay Kumar's Pad Man challenge, which has taken the social media by storm.

To promote the film, Arunachalam Muruganatham, on whose film the film is based, has thrown the challenge to the lead actor of the film Akshay Kumar and producer Twinkle Khanna. The duo, who completed the challenge tagged others in the B-town. Twinkle Khanna tagged Aamir Khan,Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bacchan while Akshay tagged Deepika Padukone and Virat Kohli.
