This Bike-Lifter Is Different, He Steals Vehicles Only For His Girl Friends

Hyderabad: The police on Tuesday caught a bike-lifter, who used them to take his girlfriends for long rides. Interestingly, the offender had never sold the bikes he had stolen and rather abandoned them after fuel gets exhausted.

Motorcycle thieves generally lift bikes in Hyderabad and sell them in the black market for good money. However, the police were shocked to learn that this bike lifter from Begumpet had stolen 28 bikes so far and had abandoned the bikes after taking then for rides. He would again used the bike by re-fuelling it.

Accused, identified as Azhar Hussain, is a resident of Patigadda locality in Begumpet here in the city. He is a married man and has divorced his wife. He then started developing friendship with several women in the city and frequently took them for long rides. For this, he began stealing parked vehicles.

So far, the task force police have caught him four times. Every time, he told the cops that he had to lift the vehicle as his girlfriend refused to come with him if he didn't have a bike. He secured bail and resorted to the same thing.

Now Azhar has become a headache for the Hyderabad police. He was caught for the fifth time on Tuesday after he had lifted a bike in the city. He has been sent in remand.
