Thieves Take Away ATM In A Stolen Car
These ATM thieves from Jaipur have shown that they are a notch above the rest of ATM cash pilferers. While others break open the ATMs for cash, these miscreants simply lifted off the ATM itself. They entered an ATM, simply uprooted the machine and loaded it in a vehicle and scooted away. The incident occurred in Rajasthan's Bundi near Jaipur on Tuesday night.
According to the police, five masked youths entered the Central Bank of India ATM on Nainwa Road and disconnected the power lines. Then they removed the ATM machine. They later put it in a vehicle, which too was stolen from a 100 yards away in the same locality, and ran away. The CCTV in the ATM captured their images, but the faces were not visible due to the mask. They chose the Nainwa Road ATM as there was no watchman deployed.
The theft was noticed by a bank employee, who was on his morning walk and he immediately alerted the bank officials and the police. The officials say the ATM had up to Rs 5 lakh in its chest. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
