The Return of Lalu Prasad Yadav
Exactly five years ago, Lalu Prasad Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won 22 seats in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. The BJP and ally JD(U) won 91 and 115 seats, respectively.
As on today, Lalu is in a commanding position having brought the Congress and JD(U) under the Grand Alliance umbrella. In the 2015 elections, while the Grand Alliance is in a clear lead, Lalu commanding the alliance is in majority with more number of seats won. His confidence was also apparent from the fact that he predicted a victory for the grand alliance with not less than 150 seats. To top it, his two sons Tejaswi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav have won from the constituencies that they contested in.
Also, like a generous winner he is already on record with the statement, "my brother Nitish will be the chief minister of Bihar."
