Suriya-Keerthy starrer Thaana Serndha Koottam has doubled the pongal feast for the audience. Amidst face off from Sketch and Gulaebaghavali, the movie has got rave reviews from the critics.
The movie is said to have beaten Suriya's last film Singham 3 day 1 collections. Singham 3 had earned Rs 17.6 Cr at the domestic box-office, while trade analysts say TSk has raked in between Rs15-20 Cr on day1.
The overseas market is also strong for the film as UAE film critic Umair Sandhu said that TSK had collected Rs28 Cr on its opening day. The film directed by Vignesh Shivan is the remake of hit Bollywood film Special 26, which starred Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
