Tension prevails at OU campus

Hyderabad: A clash was reported between the police and students when police tried to stop the students who participated in 'Chalo Assembly' rally near NCC gate in OU campus.

According to sources, the police entered OU campus without VP's permission and allegedly raided the lecturers’ quarters and hostels.

Left parties called for 'Chalo Assembly' in relation to Warangal encounter.
Though KCR government didn’t grant permission for the rally, Left parties went ahead with it.

The police arrested opposition leaders and students at various places across the state for taking part in the rally.
