Tension in OU as students demand jobs
Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Osmania University on Friday. Osmania University Joint Action Committee of the Unemployed took out a rally demanding the increase of the number of Group-2 posts.
The students pelted stones on the police, when the latter tried to stop them near the Arts College.
The police took several students into custody and took them to the police station.
The JAC raised several demands including increasing the intake for Group II, postponement of exams by three months. They also wanted the removal of interview section from the recruitment process.They also demanded immediate notification for one lakh jobs and recruitment of Vice-Chancellors for the universities in the state.
