Tension In Hindupur Ahead Of Balarkrishna’s Visit

Hindupur: Tension prevailed in Hindupur constituency on Saturday when police personnel barred YSRCP convenor B. Naveen Nischal from joining the protest programme planned by the party.

According to the sources, the opposition YSRCP party planned a protest programme demanding that a vegetable market be set up in Hindupur town which is being represented by actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna.

Scuffle ensued between the police and the YSRCP workers when they were not allowed to meet Naveen at his residence.

There has been stiff opposition from the people in the town after the promises made by TDP MLA Balakrishna remained on paper. In the wake of the TDP MLA scheduled to visit his constituency on Sunday (May 7), people planned to organise a protest against the water problem in the town. After the police highhandedness, the citizens are expressing anger for not being allowed to protest peacefully.
