Telugu Youth Dies In Road Accident In Dubai

Hyderabad: A Telugu youth was killed in a road mishap in Dubai after the tyre of a bus he was travelling in burst and rammed into a truck on Tuesday.

The victim Vannela Sagar, a native of Gadchanda village, Lokeshwaram mandal in Nirmal district went to Dubai in November 2015 and was working for Transgard company there. The incident took place on Al Yalayis Street between Mohammad Bin Zayed Road and Shaikh Zayed Road on way back to his accommodation in Jebel Ali after night duty. Seven passengers including Sagar died on the spot. The bus carried 41 workers.

"We have received the news about his death in a road accident. The entire family is in deep shock," said E. Poshetty, uncle of Sagar.

As Sagar's family is poor, The General Administration (NRI) Department requested the Consulate General of India, Dubai, and UAE to bear the expenditure of sending the body to India at the earliest.
