2015 has been an year of political turmoil. With the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the political drama in the Telugu states has becoming as interesting as it can get. Many political incidents like Cash for Vote, Call Money Scam, movie actors joining politics or Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam have made people to stay glued to their TV sets. Clearly, people were lot entertained by politics than by movies this year. However, following are the top 4 political events that stood out:

 

The phrase of the year: Speaking about the cash-for-vote scam, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu used phrases like, “Manavallu briefed me” and “What I am saying is” which went viral. They became one of the most used phrase of the year by politicos and the general public.

Gift of the year: Power Star Pawan Kalyan threatened to stage protests over Capital area land acquisition. He came, he saw and what else did he do? He gifted mangoes from his farmhouse to AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.

Shock of the year: His brother gets arrested for Call Money sex racket, but this MLC from TDP doesn't know a thing about the scam. Another TDP MLA goes on a foreign vacation with main accused in the scam, but returns alone. He too claims innocence. If these don't shock you, what else?

Foot in the mouth person of the year: Who else but Reventh Reddy? Popularly known for ‘Cash for Vote’ scam, TDP MLA Revanth Reddy let out all his secrets and political plans to untrustworthy ‘friend’ (MLA Stephenson) who eventually let him down. Revanth even ended up in jail for a couple of months and was later released on bail.
