Harish Rao Takes To Streets, Takes Lockdown Violators To Task

SIDDIPET: Telangana state Minister for Finance, T Harish Rao and municipal authorities of Siddipet town undertook preventive measures by spraying disinfectants at various places in Siddipet town to protect the people from COVID-19 disease on Monday. These operations were conducted at the behest of the government of Telangana which was keeping its best foot forward to arrest the spread of COVID-19 epidemic in the state. Fire tenders were also deployed to spray the disinfectants.Harish Rao urged people to stay at home and asked them to follow the guidelines issued by the government.

Harish Rao while supervising the arrangements, saw a few people plying on the roads in large numbers along with their families. Irate at the locals for roaming around despite the lockdown, he expressed severe anguish over them for breaking the rules. He told that even as the government officials were working hard in keeping the areas clean and the government imposing a lockdown, people were stepping out of their houses and disobeying the rule which was meant for their welfare.


In a media bulletin released by the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare on Monday night said that till date, 77 positive cases reported in the state, 61 are active cases, 13 cured.
