Eight New FOBs And Two Skywalks In Secunderabad: GHMC

SECUNDERABAD: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) along with Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is all set to construct eight new foot-over bridges (FOB's) and two skywalks in Secunderabad.

According to reports, GHMC and HMDA have decided to construct new pathways for the citizens as they recently received administrative sanctions for construction, which have been pending for the past two years.

The Zonal Commissioner of Secunderabad, GHMC, Srinivas Reddy said in a statement that the work has been scheduled to commence from February first week. He also added that a cost of Rs 16.91 crore has been sanctioned for eight new FOB's and Rs 13.30 crores has been sanctioned for two skywalks.

Here are the areas where FOB's will be constructed:

Neredmet Bus stop, St Ann's College of Education, St Ann's Junior College For Girls in Tarnaka, Rail Nilayam, Ramakrishna Math at Lower Tank Bund, Ashok Nagar crossroads. Another two will between Himayath Nagar crossroads and Narayanguda flyover and Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Musheerabad.

The skywalks will come up at RTC crossroads and Chilkalguda.

According to reports, apart from FOB's and skywalks GHMC has also planned to construct few bus shelters and improve junctions in Secunderabad, which expected to complete within the period of six months.
