Chennamaneni Ramesh‘s Citizenship Cancellation On Stay By HC

HYDERABAD: In a temporary relief to the TRS MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh Telangana High Court gave a stay on the order of canceling his citizenship by the Home Ministry.

Ministry of Home Affairs had canceled his citizenship on grounds that had German Citizenship and didn’t fulfill the norms while obtaining Indian Citizenship in 2009.

Ramesh's counsel argued before HC, during a hearing of the petition filed by Adi Srinivas, that he has already canceled his German citizenship before taking the citizenship of India.

The Telangana High Court directed to produce required documents regarding the claim. The court has postponed the case by four weeks while giving a stay on Home Ministry's decision of cancellation of citizenship for eight weeks.
