HC Issues Notice To Akbaruddin Owaisi In Nizamabad Hate-Speech Case

HYDERABAD: The Telangana High Court has issued a notice to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi on Friday, December 13.

The HC has sent this notice after taking into consideration the petition filed by Kasim Shetty Karuna Sagar of Hindu Sangatan requesting the HC  for the cancellation of bail granted to Akbaruddin in the Nizamabad hate-speech case.

The petitioner has approached the High Court after his petition was dismissed by a Hyderabad court. Sagar said that Owaisi was misusing the liberty which was given to him and continues making offensive statements against Hindu religion and deities, which are proactive.

Sagar in a petition added that Owaisi has been committing similar offenses repeatedly without any regard to law and judiciary.

The HC justice G Sridevi has adjourned the case after issuing a notice to Akbaruddin and asks Akbaruddin to respond over the notice.
