RTC Gives Ex gratia And Jobs to Kin Of Deceased Employees

HYDERABAD: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) officials on Friday has given ex-gratia cheques and appointments to the family members of the employees who died during the 55-day strike.

It is learnt that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has announced Rs 1 lakh ex-gratia and a job either in the government or TSRTC to the kin of the employees who had lost their lives during the strike.

Across the state, nearly 33 employees died due to heart attack and some of them committed suicide.

All the family members of the deceased were called to the depots and handed over they ex-gratia cheques along with appointment letters.

According to officials, 33 eligible children of the deceased employees were given employment, while 22 family members received ex-gratia and appointment letters from the officials and the district collectors were asked to hand over Rs 2 lakh cheque to the family members.
