Girl Found Molested, Murdered on Her Birthday In Hanamkonda

HANMAKONDA: A 19-year-old Telangana girl was allegedly molested and murdered on her birthday and her body was found at Prakash Reddy Peta near Hanamkonda town in Telangana, on Thursday November 28.

A person named Sai Goud is said to have gone to the Subedar police station at Hanmankonda and confessed to have raped and killed the girl.

According to the reports, the girl left her home on Wednesday after informing her parents that she was going to the temple.

As she didn't return home even after several hours, the girl's parents tried to contact her but couldn't reach her as her phone was switched off.

After that, the girl's parents filed a missing complaint in the nearby police station. The police registered the case and took up investigation immediately. However, the police found the dead body of the girl near Hunter Road in the Hanamkonda town close to her home on Wednesday night. Later, the police informed her parents about the incident and shifted the girl's body to MGM Hospital in Warangal for autopsy.

According to the preliminary investigation, police suspect the girl was molested and murdered.

A special team was formed to gather clues over her murder. Police trying to analyse the girl's call data and checking the CCTV footage in the are for any further clues.
