High Tension Prevails At All RTC Depots - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD: After RTC MD Sunil Sharma said that the agitating 48,000 TSRTC staffers will not be taken back into their duty, security beefed up in front of all the bus depots on Tuesday. Section 144 was imposed at the premises of all depots across Telangana state.

TSRTC employees unions Joint Action Committee (JAC) leader Aswathama Reddy had taken a decision to call off the strike and requested the workers to join the duties by 6 am, Tuesday. All the workers were seen reaching their respective depots in large numbers today and were trying to stop the temporary workers from getting into work.

Police were taking the protesting employees into their custody, which led to mild scuffles between the RTC employees and the police.

Tension prevailed at all the bus depots across the Telangana state.RTC employees started protesting at Musheerabad-1, 2, 3, Ranigunj-1, 2 depots and Bus Bhavan.

The same situation prevailed at Kachiguda, Barkathpura, Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad-1 and 2 depots, MGBS, Cantonment, JBS, Mehdipatnam, Falaknuma, Farooq Nagar, Midhani and Barkathpura depots.

Meanwhile Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had announced that the Cabinet would meet on November 28 and 29 to discuss issues relating to TSRTC employees and other issues, on Tuesday.
