9-Year-Old Dies Falling Down Lift Shaft From 4th Floor

HYDERABAD: A boy fell down the elevator shaft on Sunday, November 24 and died on the spot. This happened in an apartment building in Raidurgam of Hyderabad.

Getting into the details of the incident, nine-year-old S Dhanush had moved to TVS Lake View Apartment at the Panchvati colony along with his family. He happened to be playing around the elevator shaft and was curious to look down the pit. He then peeped down. Looking at this his sister tried to move him from there but was too late as the lift had come down and pushed the boy down the shaft making him drop for four floors.
The Boy succumbed to his grievous injuries. The police registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital mortuary. Dhanush's father who works as a temple priest had planned to enroll his son in a Gurukul next year.
