TSRTC Strike Called Off -RTC JAC After 47 days

HYDERABAD: The State finally breaths a breath of relief as the backbone of the city’s public transport has come back into function after a 47-day strike. They called off this strike which has been on since October 5th. The RTC JAC convenor Aswathama Reddy announced the strike being called off at a presser held here in the city on Wednesday, November 20. This decision was taken after the high court had directed the petition to be referred to the Labour Court. He demanded that the striking employees be taken back unconditionally and also requested the striking employees to resume duties with immediate effect.

JAC requested the Telangana government and TSRTC Management to provide the same atmosphere to employees, which existed before the commencement of strike on October 4.

A letter was also issued by the RTC JAC over the same. It is imperative that both the parties should adhere to the high court ruling, said Aswathama Reddy.
