HYDERABAD: Hyderabad's first cable suspension bridge on Durgam Cheruvu is in its last stage of construction with only three segments left to be installed in the bridge. IT minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday shared pictures of the same which was a visual retreat for all Hyderabadis.

The construction work made a record on Saturday as the project team lifted two segments at a time within the span of two and a half hours.

Of the 53 segments that are to be arranged only three segments are left to be installed, said GHMC executive engineer Venkataramana.

This cable suspension bridge will bring relief to most IT workers as it will be reducing the distance from Jubilee Hills to Madhapur, the city's IT hub. The 238-meter long bridge is being constructed on Durgam Cheruvu with a cost of Rs 180 crore.
