Fasting CPI Leader Sambasiva Rao ‘Forcibly’ Taken To Hospital - Sakshi Post

HYDERABAD: Former Communist Party of India (CPI) leader Sambasiva Rao who was on an indefinite hunger strike in Himayathnagar since the last two days was shifted to a government hospital here by police on Monday, October 28. His health was deteriorating and was admitted at the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) hospital in the early hours of Monday.

Police forcibly took him to the hospital as his blood pressure and sugar levels were down. However, Sambasiva Rao claimed that he was continuing his fast in the hospital.

Sambasiva Rao expressed his outrage over the Telangana Chief Minister led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party for this act of forcibly taking him to hospital and said that CM KCR conducted a "police rule".

Former CPI leader even recalled that supported the indefinite fast undertaken by CM KCR for a separate Telangana.

After the first round of talks between the Telangana State government and JAC unions failed on October 26, T JAC started to continue its protest and all the opposition leaders in Telangana held protests on Monday supporting the strike which entered the 24th day.
