KCR Is Misleading The Public On Merger Demand: TRSTC JAC
Hyderabad: TSRTC employees’ JAC convener Ashwathama Reddy alleged that the Telangana CM KCR is misleading the public and TSRTC employees whe it comes to the demand for TSRTC merger with the government.
He spoke about this while addressing the media at Dilsukhnagar on Wednesday, October 23. He attended RTC Dhoom Dhaam protest in Dilsukhnagar and he clarified that they didn't keep the merger demand aside for talks with the government, and the strike would continue until all 26 demands get fulfilled by Telangana government.
According to the reports, the Telangana government on Tuesday, October 22 came forward to examine other demands of Road Transport Corporation (RTC) employees stating that RTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) agreed to withdraw their RTC merger demand.
This announcement from Telangana Chief Minister Office (CMO) shocked the RTC employee unions and Ashwathama Reddy denied the announcement and said that they will not leave the merger demand, and he added that they are ready for any punishment if the government proves that they have taken back their decision on RTC merger.
JAC convener reminded CM KCR over TDP's failure in 2004 and alleged that TDP were defeated in 2004 polls for not fulfilling the RTC’s demands.
Ashwathama Reddy questions CM KCR stating that the Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's has merged RTC with the AP state government.
He demands CM KCR to immediately hold talks with JAC leaders and to resolve the issues.
On the other hand, CM KCR Instructed a team of officials to look into the remaining 21 demands excluding the merger of the RTC with the government.
RTC Incharge MD Sunil Sharma has been asked to set up a committee to discuss terms with the RTC officials and submit a report within two to three days. After receiving the report, the government will take a final decision on the negotiations.
