Telangana: Educational Institutions To Reopen On Monday
Hyderabad: It's good news for schools and other educational institutions across the State which were closed due to extended Dasara vacation.,in view of the TSRTC employees strike. The School Education Department has announced that schools would reopen on Monday and there would be no more extensions further.
It may be recollected that with the TSRTC employees strike the State government had had extended the holidays from October 14 to October 19.
The statement was issued as several messages were making the rounds that the department had again extended the holidays till October 31. Puttimg rumours to rest officials have made it clear that schools would reopen on Monday and that there would not be any more extension of holidays.
Meanwhile the state-wide bandh called by the agitating employees of TSRTC across Telangana on October 19th received a total response from all the 33 districts of the state with almost all opposition parties standing in solidarity with the strike on its 15th day.
Despite the Telangana High Court directing the state transport corporation and employees' unions to hold talks and settle all disputes before October 28, the bandh was conducted. The bandh was total and buses confined to depots in the Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy and Medak districts.
