HC Direction To Govt: Negotiate With TSRTC Employees

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court raised several questions on the government’s decision on TSRTC strike on Friday.

The court expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s claim that there was a senior officer as in charge and questioned the government as to why the current official was not appointed as a Managing Director.

It also said that the demands of the RTC employees are lawfully correct. It also stated that people of the state have been suffering due to strike for two weeks and it also stated the employees' unions and Taxi drivers are going to extend their support to the state bandh called by The RTC unions on October 3.

The Counsel to the government and additional advocate general Ramachandra Rao said that the govt cannot fulfill the demands of the employees as RTC is in financial crisis and he also stated that necessary measures were taken to ease people’s commute.

The court also directed the government to have talks with the TSRTC employees Unions and postponed the next hearing to October 23.
