Hyderabad: The Telangana government has extended Dasara holidays in the view of ongoing TSRTC indefinite strike. All educational institutions would re-open on October 21.

The decision was taken by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao after a review meeting on the ongoing TSRTC strike on Saturday.

KCR stated that they will not hold talks with the RTC employees union who went on indefinite strike any more and also reiterated that they will not allow TSRTC employees who did turn up to rejoin their duty as per the deadline fixed by the state government on October 5 during a review meeting held at Pragati Bhavan on Saturday.

The CM directed all officials to ensure that TSRTC operates its buses within next three days without fail.

Meanwhile, TSRTC unions and opposition parties called for state bandh on October 19.
