Temple Priest Turns Thief In Secunderabad - Sakshi Post

Ramgopalpet: In a shocking incident, a temple priest turned a thief and stole sarees belonging to temple goddess. This incident took place under Gopalapuram police station limits in the city. According to police, Bhaskarabhatla Ramasharma of Regiment area serves as a chief priest in Santoshi Mata temple and Baburao as his assistant.

Devotees and former trustees observed that the chief priest has been carrying sarees and rice to his house for the past few days. In the same way, the chief priest asked Baburao to carry the 42 sarees offered by devotees to the goddess during Sravana Masam to his house.

On Friday night at 8 pm, Baburao took these sarees and was on his way to Rama Sharma's house when former chairman of the temple Rai Venkatesh and trustee Ram Mohan caught him and informed the local police. The Gopalapuram police reached the spot and arrested him and registered a case based on a complaint lodged by temple EO Vittalaiah.
