Woman Killed as SUV Rams Into 2- Wheeler In Kompally

Hyderabad: A woman was killed in an accident when her two-wheeler was hit by a speeding SUV on the Medchal-Kompally Service road at Suchithra in Hyderabad, on Tuesday night. It is reported that the SUV that went out of control rammed into the victims two-wheeler ,crashed into four other vehicles damaging them. Two men who were said to be in the vehicle had abandoned the vehicle and fled from the spot after the accident.

The woman identified as Sridevi was an employee of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions. She was going along with her brother' son Balaji for shopping when their Scooty (two-wheeler) was hit by the SUV. Both of them were taken to a nearby hospital where she died while undergoing treatment and Balaji is said to have suffered injuries, but is stable.

Police say that the two youth who were said to be engineering students had taken the SUV from Car Care, a car rental agency at Alwal and were going to Charminar. They were said to be drunk and the driver had no valid licence papers. They hit the two-wheeler, lost control, and crashed into another car and few two-wheelers, before they came to a halt. They left the vehicle and fled from the spot. Suchithra police have taken the car rental agency owner into custody and are verifying details about the identity of the two youth.
