Hyderabad: Central University PhD Student Dies In Hostel
Hyderabad: A 29-year-old student Dipika Mahapatra who was pursuing her PhD in Hindi at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) was found unconscious in the hostel washroom on Monday morning. Though she was taken to the hospital immediately, doctors declared that she was brought dead.
Police said that she had gone to the bathroom in the morning hours and when she didn't open the door for a long time her friends forcibly opened the door found lying unconscious on the floor. They informed the University authorities and immediately took her to the Citizens Hospital in Gachibowli , but she had already died.
It is reported that the student was suffering from a neurological disorder and was undergoing treatment for epilepsy.
A case has been registered at the Gachibowli police station, and the police say that there is nothing suspicious about the circumstances of her death and have sent the body for post mortem.
