ISRO Scientist Veerabathini Surender

Sriharikota/Siddipet: Eleven years after the success of its first lunar mission, the Indian Space Research Organisation is all set for the launch of Chandrayaan-2 project at 2.51 AM on Monday Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota on-board the GSLV Mk-III.

Apart from the project being helmed by two women, a senior scientist from Siddipet, Telangana -Veerabathini Surender is said to part of the prestigious mission making it a matter of pride for the Telugu state.

Veerabathini Surender is said to have completed his schooling from the Government High School in Siddipet and pursued his higher education from Andhra University and JNTU. He has been working with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for the past 19 years. Surrender hails from a modest background. His father worked as a teacher and mother used to make beedis. Former irrigation minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao expressed happiness in this regard and congratulated him for the achievement of working in Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2 .
