Heavy Rains Expected Across Telangana Over Next Five Days

Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there will be torrential rains in the northern Bay of Bengal on Sunday. Speaking in this regard, Senior Meteorological Officer Raja Rao He said that heavy rains could be experienced in Telangana for five days starting from Sunday and the monsoon has started to cause widespread rains in the state.

With the forecast predicting good amount of rains, the agriculture department hopes that the Kharif season will be more promising in the state. Meanwhile, heavy rains have hit many parts of the state in the past 24 hours. The Bejjur district of Komaram Bheem district received the highest rainfall of 10 centimeters. Sarangapur, Bajarhatnur received 7 cm, Dilwarpur, Wankidi, Khanapur - 6 cm whereas Kammarpally, Armoor, Nandipet, Bhupalapalli, Morthad, Bodh, Mandhani and Navipet - 5 cm.
