Two Pedestrians Injured After Drunk Student Crashes Car In Rangareddy District

Hyderabad: An Engineering student in an intoxicated condition created a ruckus in Ibrahimpatnam mandal on Friday. Driving in a inebriated state, the 20-year-old student rammed into a Class X student and a 60-year-old pedestrian. He further crashed into two motorbikes stationed on the side of the road in Raipole village of Rangareddy district.

Locals alerted he police after the driver didn't stop his Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza car after knocking two people down.

As per the details, the accused, Vineet of Kukatpally had consumed toddy and reported a very high blood alcohol concentration. Vineet had gone to Raipole to meet his friend and was returning home when the accident took place.

The Class X student, Hymavathi (14) is currently undergoing treatment in a private hospital after sustaining a head injury and a fractured rib. The pedestrian was also admitted in the same hospital after he suffered injuries on his left hand. The motorbikes also were extensively damaged in the mishap. A case has been registered against Vineet, who is absconding.
