Hyderabad: After a long wait, the people of Telangana will get respite from the searing summer season with the arrival of the monsoon in the state.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad, "All obstacles to the onset of the southwest monsoon have been eliminated. The southwest monsoon season in Kerala is in full swing and almost in Tamil Nadu, it is expanding in Karnataka. It would later enter Andhra Pradesh and arrive in Telangana the next day. Meanwhile, the state will witness mild to moderate rains over the next four days."

Already, the state is witnessing rainfall in several regions.

Farmers in Telangana have been waiting eagerly for the monsoon season. Earlier this month, the monsoon was expected to enter the state on June 8th but due to various reasons, it did not happen. Later, several dates were shared by the Met Department for the arrival of the monsoon in the state. Now, the Meteorological officials say that the monsoon will finally arrive on the 22nd and 23rd of this month. They say that this time it is inevitable and will be the most favorable weather.

Meanwhile, the temperatures in the state have recorded a decline. On Monday, Adilabad and Nizamabad recorded temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius. Medak witnessed temperature of 39 degree Celsius while Hanmakonda, Mahabubnagar, and Ramagundam recorded 38 degrees. Hyderabad, Khammam, and Nalgonda recorded temperatures of 37 degrees, officials said.
