Nizamabad Man Sets Afire Wife In Sleep

Nizamabad: In an attempt to kill his wife, a man poured kerosene on her, while she was asleep and set her on fire. While the woman survived, she sustained 70 percent burns and her condition is learned to be critical.

As per the details, the man identified as Ijapu Sudhakar (38) hails from Mopal village of Nizamabad district. He is married to Eerala Manasa (32), a native of Rampur village in Dichpally. It is learned that this was Manasa’s second marriage.

Sudhakar is known to be a liquor addict and frequently had altercations with Manasa. He even beat her up a week ago. Early Sunday morning, Sudhakar poured kerosene on his wife while she was sleep and set her ablaze. He immediately fled from the spot. Hearing her screams, the neighbours rushed to Manasa's rescue and shifted her to Nizamabad GGH Hospital. The victim is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Manasa's mother filed a complaint with the police, who registered a case against Sudhakar. Further investigation is underway.
