IND Vs PAK Cricket Match: Police Beef Up Security In Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Keeping in view of the highly anticipated cricket match between India and Pakistan which is taking place today, the security in the city has been tightened. With the two arch-rivals, India and Pakistan clashing at Old Trafford stadium, Manchester in England as part of the ICC World Cup 2019, emotions are running high.
Telangana Police officials conducted a meeting earlier on Sunday morning and directed the field level police officials to refrain any celebratory rallies and processions in Hyderabad, particularly the sensitive parts of the city.
Depending on the results of the match, the police will be taking up necessary action and also plan to set up barricades at various stretches in the city to restrict bike rallies or victory celebrations in sensitive areas.
To avoid betting and untoward incidents by unsocial elements, the police have instructed small hotels and eating joints in several areas of Hyderabad, to not allow huge gatherings for the match telecast. As a precautionary measure, additional forces are to be deployed at sensitive parts of the city in view of the sensitivity of the match.
