Hyderabad: After hearing out counsels of TV9 former CEO Ravi Prakash and Cyber Crime Police, the High Court on Tuesday postponed the next hearing of the former’s anticipatory bail plea to June 18.

The counsel on behalf of police alleged that the accused was influencing witnesses and destroying evidence. In support of their arguments, the counsel for the police presented a letter before the court claiming that it showed how Ravi Prakash and his men had forged a signature of an employee. The Police’s counsel also submitted emails exchanged between actor Sivaji and Ravi Prakash.

The counsel for police requested the court not to provide anticipatory bail as that would serve as a shot in the arm for the accused to influence and threaten witness.

However, the counsel on behalf of Ravi Prakash requested the court to provide anticipatory bail to his client promising that they would fully support the investigating agencies in their probe. But the court asked on what grounds it can grant accused the anticipatory bail. The next hearing is postponed to June 18.
