Telangana Govt Hospitals Out-Patient Department Timings Extended

Hyderabad: To improve health facilities in the state hospitals, the Telangana government has increased the check-up time for the out patient department in all government hospitals by two hours.

Hospitals working under the Vydhya Vidana Parishath whose current timings were from 9 am to 12 noon, have been increased till 2 pm.

The move comes ahead of the monsoon as the season experiences an outbreak of various diseases. Also, this will be a relief for patients who come from far-flung areas to get themselves treated.

In Nalgonda headquarters hospital, the season sees 800 to 100 out patients in a day, which on a regular day sees a fallout of 500-600 patients in a day.
