IT Grids CEO Ashok Dakavaram - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad:The Telangana High Court granted conditional anticipatory bail to IT Grids CEO Ashok Dakavaram, the prime accused in the data theft case.

The High Court after reviewing the petition granted bail on the condition that he should appear before the Madhapur police station once a week and be present whenever called for further enquiry by the Special Investigation Team constituted to conduct enquiry into the data theft case.

It may be recollected that Ashok Dakavaram and his wife and company director Srilakshmi filed anticipatory bail petitions in the High Court after the 14th additional sessions court in Ranga Reddy district dismissed the anticipatory bail applications of the accused on May 25.

Ashok Dakavaram is the main accused in ''theft of voters data' through Seva Mitra, a mobile app which IT Grids had developed, and was used by the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in AP. He has been absconding since the case came out and now has finally been granted bail by the high court.
