Mailardevpally Plastic Factory Fire, No Casualties

Hyderabad: A fire enveloped a plastic factory at Babul Reddy Nagar of Mailardevpally in the early hours of Saturday. However, no casualties were reported, but the loss of property is estimated to tune of over Rs 10 lakh.

A short circuit that might have occurred at a transformer near the factory was suspected to trigger the fire.

According to fire department officials, the fire control room got a call at 3 am on Saturday morning when locals saw smoke emanating from the factory which is located on the first floor of the building.

The fire destroyed plastic scrap materials and machinery at the factory, assistant district fire officer (ADFO), Rangareddy, GV Prasad told ToI.

The fire was completely brought into control by 6.30 am.
