Heatwave Conditions Grip Hyderabad As Temperature Touches 44 degrees
Hyderabad: The intense heat wave conditions are refusing to die down in Hyderabad as people are struggling with the rising temperatures. The mercury levels in the city have reached 44 degrees Celsius on Sunday. If the maximum temperature clocks 40 degree Celsius or more, it is considered to be a heat wave.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), the maximum temperature was recorded at 44.1 degrees in Saroor Nagar followed by Uppal 44 degrees, Musheerabad at 44 degrees and Kukatpally at 43.9 degrees.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad stated that the average temperature in the city was 42.7 degrees.
As per the IMD prediction, the temperatures are expected to hover at 44 degrees on Monday while showers are likely to hit Hyderabad during the evening.
The night temperatures are also on the rise as the minimum temperature hovered between 27-29 degree Celsius in majority districts.
