Hyderabad Continues To Sizzle, Clocks 43.3 Degrees

Hyderabad: The sweltering heat is becoming a cause of inconvenience for the people in several parts of Telangana including Hyderabad as they are forced to stay indoors. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Hyderabad witnessed the highest temperature soaring to 43.3 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Parts of Hyderabad may also witness thunderstorms with gusty winds of 30 to 40 km/hr.

Other districts in Telangana such as Adilabad recorded a temperature of 46.3 degree Celsius while Nizamabad and Nalgonda experienced an average maximum temperature of 45.9 and 45.5 degree Celsius respectively.

In Hanmakonda, the mercury levels shoot up to 45 degrees, while Khammam and Medak witnessed a maximum temperature of 44.6 degree Celsius. A warning has been issued by the IMD stating that the heat wave conditions are expected to prevail at isolated places in all the districts of Telangana till May 31.

According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), temperatures reached to 47.4 degree Celsius for a brief period in Endapally Rajarampalli and Kolvai whereas the temperatures crossed 47 degrees briefly in Jammikunta of Karimnagar. Temperatures hovered around 46 degree Celsius in Mancherial and Jayashankar Bhupalapally district.

Medchal-Malkajgiri district witnessed a maximum temperature of 44.4 degrees and Rangareddy district at 44.7 degrees. The TSDPS officials have urged people to refrain from venturing outside and expose themselves to the sunlight, particularly in the sunlight.
