Heatwave Conditions To Continue In Telangana
Hyderabad: The people of Telangana are reeling under the intense heat conditions and according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) the temperatures will remain high through out the state till May 28.
The IMD on Saturday said that the heat wave conditions could continue to prevail over isolated places in Telangana and warned the public not to expose themselves directly to sunlight, particularly in the afternoons and take necessary precautions.
Almost all the districts in the state witnessed maximum temperatures above 40 degree Celsius on Saturday with Ramagundam recording the highest temperature in Telangana at 45.2 degrees followed by Khammam at 45 degrees. Parts of Nizamabad also saw the temperature hit 44.5 degrees.
Adilabad and Badrachalam witnessed temperatures rise up to 4.3 and 44.2 degree Celsius respectively. Meanwhile, Hyderabad witnessed a maximum temperature of 42.2 degrees on Saturday. The Telangana government even issued an order postponing the re-opening of schools in the state by two weeks owing to the extensive heat wave conditions. As per the order, the schools will now reopen on June 12 instead of June 1st.
